Waiting Children

Christian World Adoption is committed to the belief that every child deserves a family. Whether that child be a infant, part of a sibling group, special needs or older, we will do everything possible to find that child a home. We also strongly believe that only the adoptive parent knows what is the right decision for each.

In some country programs, we routinely have children waiting and available for acceptance, even for families just beginning the process and who are not document ready. Generally most of the countries we work in prohibit photos, biographical or medical information being posted on the internet. Occasionally we may display images of children when permission is granted by the birth country’s government. We currently have several special needs children available for adoption, and children from Ethiopia. Each link below will take you to a page to request access to view the children’s photo/bio/medical profiles:

If you would like further information then please call our Intake Counselor, toll free, at 1.888.97ADOPT. We will be happy to answer your questions and discuss the entire adoption process with you. God bless you as you seek His guidance.

About Older Children

A very common misconception regarding older children is that they suffer from emotional damage and cannot bond. That is quite untrue in most cases. While there do exist some difficult situations of genuine concern, those cases are the exception to the rule. Please get all the facts first and then pray about what God would have you do. There are statistics from a survey conducted with 1,200 different post adoptive families, involving 1,246 children coming from countries all over Eastern Europe. The response was wonderful and may surprise you. The families represented were from all walks of life and adoption experiences. The children’s ages ranged from infants to young teens. Well over 90% said their child’s adjustment was either good or very good! See Survey »
