Hey Families! Christian World Adoption is hosting an all day picnic, and we want you to come! Make your plans now to join CWA adoptive families for a full day of fun, food, games and more—all in the great outdoors!

Come spend the day at Taylor Ranch in the scenic mountains of western North Carolina. The date is Saturday, July 12, 2008. The fun starts at 11:00 AM and will keeping going until 3:00 PM.

Times & Events

• 11:00 AM Arrival at Taylor Ranch. Try your hand at the Ranch activities, like sport fishing in the lake, horseshoes, volleyball, badminton, croquet, nature trail hikes, or just sit by the lake, relax and enjoy the views provided on the vast 500 acre ranch. All recreational equipment will be provided. Fishing poles and bait, with great fishing assured (catch and release policy).
  

• All Day. Enjoy unlimited non-alcoholic beverages will include a wide assortment of sodas, iced tea, lemonade, water and coffee.

• 12 Noon Lunch Served. The dinner bell sounds and the aroma from the grill calls all guests to gather for a mouth-watering, ranch-style lunch.

• 1:00 PM. Watch in awe as a Ranch staff member calls and feeds the herd of registered Texas Longhorn cattle. This will be a great photo-op for you and your kids with one of the Ranch's prize steers!

• 1:30-3:00 PM. Needle in the Haystack. Your kids will love this one! Ranch staff will divide the kids into age groups, and then send them off to dig furiously through the hay to find hidden prizes!
  
  Horse-Drawn Covered Wagon Rides. Relive history on an authentic, old-fashioned hay ride in the Taylor Ranch covered wagon.
  
  Farm Animal Petting Zoo. Experience life on a farm with a baby cow, goat, sheep, chickens, rabbits and whatever other animal may be born between now and then.

Menu & Registration

Adults: $25 each (age 13+) Slow-smoked pork BBQ with sauce on the side; grilled bone-in chicken breast; creamy potato salad; coleslaw; ranch-style baked beans; rolls with whipped butter; banana pudding; chocolate cream pie; warm fruit cobbler with whipped cream.

Youth: $12.50 each (age 4-12). All beef hot dogs; baked macaroni and cheese; whole fruit and ice cream. Kids age 3 and under eat free.

Unlimited Beverages: Sweet and unsweet tea; lemonade; Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Mr. Pibb, Mello-Yello; water; regular & decaf coffee; spiced cider; hot chocolate.
