The Hanover Family
Once Curt and I decided to have kids, we basically decided we wanted both biological and adopted children. After two miscarriages throughout the years, the Lord turned our thoughts toward adoption.
At the time, we were living in Siberia, Russia. We are on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ and were living in a village in the south. Needless to say, that means we had NO medical care, and when I was pregnant the second time and began to miscarry, I was so upset. By my viewpoint, I was unable to have kids, and having no medical access, wouldn’t for a really long time. Boy, did God have other plans... Read More »

International adoptee, Miss Indiana USA, promotes adoption awareness
Miss Indiana, Courtni Hall, an international adoptee, is using her title to promote adoption awareness by being a spokesperson for Children's Hope International. Abandoned in Calcutta, India, at birth, weighing only 2 pounds 2 ounces, Hall was adopted at five months of age by an American couple and raised in Indiana.
Now 22 years old, Hall is the current Miss Indiana USA 2009 and the former Miss Indiana Teen USA 2004. She was named Miss Photogenic in the Miss Indiana USA 2009 competition and went on to compete at the annual Miss USA Pageant in April. Hall hopes to earn her Master's degree in Communications and eventually work as a television personality in the entertainment industry.
During her reign as Miss Indiana, Hall will be advocating for international adoption through a non-profit organization, Children's Hope International. This full service, licensed adoption and humanitarian agency offers adoption from China, Colombia, Ethiopia, Russia, and Vietnam, as well as providing relief programs for the children still without parental care in these countries, including orphan sponsorships.

Eastern Europe programs update
Our Russia adoption program is going well. Christian World Adoption is committed to finding families for children that might be harder to place, typically older children and siblings. Therefore, we have worked to negotiate a discounted international fee for sibling adoptions from Russia. We have the opportunity to place sibling groups from two regions in Russia, Nizhniy Novgorod and Pskov. Siblings groups apparently become available quite frequently in these two regions.
In June and July we had approximately nine families traveling on either their first or second trips to Russia for their adoptions. We have also had two families travel to Russia as a part of our special sibling adoption program. Both of these families traveled within two weeks of accepting referrals for sibling groups. We now have children from Eastern Europe available as a part of our Hope Project, and one child from this program has already been placed. If you are interested in learning more about any of these adoption programs, please call Christian World Adoption today at 1-888-972-3678. |

Adoption ministry opportunity with CWA
Recently, CWA has partnered with Harvest Church and Journey Church in Bozeman, MT to begin an adoption ministry in these churches. They are calling on families to adopt children from Ethiopia, and to those not called to adopt, they are asking them to become involved in some way. There is a movement beginning in churches all around our country as they heed the call from the Bible to care for orphans. Through prayer and action, churches can change the lives of thousands of children. Your church can be part of this movement. Many opportunities for churches exist. If you are interested in learning more, then please email Louis Fawcett.
