A Word from a Board Member

My four year old daughter’s favorite new word is “Destiny”. She says everything is “her destiny.” I firmly believe that she is my destiny, as is my second daughter, whom I am waiting to pick up from Guatemala.

As a single career woman, I was driven by the fact that I did not have to find Mr. Right to experience motherhood. I was always moved by international adoption, and the plight of the children around the world. I did not know how profound the experience would be until that day in 2002 when I first walked into the Flat Rock office. The faces of the children captured my soul.

Christian World Adoption has enriched my life in more ways than I could have ever imagined. Not only do I have two beautiful Guatemalan princesses, but I have grown so much spiritually in my walk with God, and have met so many wonderful friends.

CWA’s mission is the belief that God is in control of the agency and your adoption. Nothing could be more true. As a board member, I am constantly amazed by the love and dedication of the staff, the number of children with their forever families, and the unending desire of the Harding’s to continue to look for countries where children are in need.

After my forever family is settled, I will continue to do everything I can to assist the agency in allowing each family to find their destiny.
