Update: Kyrgyzstan Adoption Program
Good news from Kyrgyzstan! Excellent news, in fact... Our first family has traveled to Bishkek to pick up their child, the adoption process is now complete, and they will be coming home with their child this week. Congratulations to this newest little American citizen, and to the proud parents!
More good news is that additional families will be flying to Kyrgyzstan to pick up their children this week, accompanied by Kyrgyzstan program director, Anya Rutherford, who will spend a week there helping families and observing the final stages of the adoption process in Kyrgyzstan. Anya also hopes to meet with officials to discuss new referrals for waiting families.
CWA's Kyrgyzstan program is now accepting applications once again for children ages 24 months and older, and we are eagerly looking forward to helping more children from Kyrgyzstan find their forever families.
Now that CWA families are coming from Kyrgyzstan, look for an update in March that will include some adoption stories as these first families share their impressions of their experiences. |
