Our agency has been in the news recently and has had to endure, regrettably, false allegations of unethical adoption practices in Ethiopia. Because of this, CWA has undertaken a time-consuming and costly investigation of our Ethiopian adoption program. We sent our very capable Christian attorney to Ethiopia to gather accurate information regarding these allegations. The allegations were aired last September by Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC) broadcast entitled “Fly Away Children.”
An ABC reporter interviewed our attorney, Curtis Bostic, on January 22. We have posted the interview in it’s entirety for our families to watch, listen, and make their own conclusions.
You may read our agency’s written statement here: http://www.cwa.org/ethiopia-statement.htm

CWA’s mission has always been to help place orphans into permanent, loving families. By God’s grace and help, we intend to continue doing just that.

I appreciated the opportunity to see the whole interview, and to see first hand, the unprofessional and unsubstantiated journalism practiced by ABC (Australia)- especially in the final video piece.
Thank you for addressing this case in such full detail for the public to see. I adopted through a different agency from Ethiopia, a little girl. The paperwork was questionable, but her need was not. She would have died. I am so grateful for adoption agencies which are helping in part the severe problem of children dieing in Ethiopia. I also appreciated the way your lawyer was very clear and professional.
Thanks and God bless!
